Program Introduction

The Highland County Health Department Registrar is responsible for recoding and managing birth and death records for those who have been born or died in Highland County. If you need to request a certified copy of birth or death records, please click on the documents attached below, fill them out, and bring them or mail them to the Highland County Health Department during regular business hours.

The Registrar is also responsible for organizing and maintaining genealogy index cards on those who have born or died in the county. This information is accessible to the general public during regular business hours. The health department will not provide copies of information or research records.
